Anka is a singer, composer and multi-instrumentalist from Poland who draws inspiration from the folklore of her country. Her music has been described as the crossroads between Polish folklore and electro-pop.
Originally from Bydgoszcz in Poland, Anka went to Paris in 2003 to study jazz saxophone at the CRR Conservatory. During her studies, she began to realise that her Polish roots were close to her heart and she began to incorporate them as an essential element into her work. From this point on, she set about developing a sound that mixes electronic pop and traditional Eastern folk music, with the aim of sharing the beauty of Polish culture with audiences around the world. Her work varies from the smooth melodies of “Rosa”, to “Zabawa” that captures the rhythms of traditional Polish dance. Her compositions and poetic lyrics are always sensitive, heart-warming and full of playful double meanings that Anka uses to reflect upon life. Anka’s captivating live performance draws the audience into her imaginary world; we travel with her through Polish landscapes, where she sings of her childhood memories and hopes for tomorrow.
On stage Anka sings and plays saxophone, flute and piano. She is accompanied by three French musicians: Valentin Couineau, who is also her co-producer, on bass, keyboard and machines; Loîc Audureau on accordion and effects and Pierre Demange on drums.

Anka postanowiła podzielić się swoim światem z zagraniczną publicznością, łącząc nowoczesne elektroniczne dźwięki z pop i korzeniami muzyki ludowej. Czasem są to delikatne melodie wypełnione melancholia innym razem są to szalone w rytmy inspirowane tańcami folkowymi. Poetyczne teksty Anki urzekają publiczność, którą porywa do swojego wyimaginowanego świata, od swoich wspomnienia z dzieciństwa i nadziei na piękne jutro.
