London based singer and guitarist Ruta Di stands out amongst other musicians because of her virtuosity and dexterity on both guitar and vocals - beautiful voice with incredible range that she pairs wonderfully with tasteful guitar solos and catchy hooks. A rich and inventive blend of neo-soul, jazz, classical and Brazilian music with heartfelt lyrics creates a very special sound that touches and moves. Ruta Di will be performing songs from her latest album Yellow Summer (released in 2022) with superb musicians - Jakub Cywinski on double bass and Harry Ling on drums.
Ruta Di’s critically acclaimed album Yellow Summer was recorded with top class UK jazz musicians - pianist Al MacSween (Gary Bartz, Nubya Garcia, Maisha, Ruby Turner, Omar Puente), double bassist Daniel Casimir (Jazz Fm Instrumentalist of the Year, Nubya Garcia, Ashley Henry, Camilla George,Binker Golding), drummer Eric Ford (The Partikel, Clare Teal), double bassist Jakub Cywinski (support act for Steve Vai, Ola Onabule, Maciek Pysz) (song ‘Say’) and flutist Lucia Viola (‘Perfect As It Is).
Ruta has released her debut album Hooligan in 2019. In 2020 she has released an EP ‘Notes from the Lockdown’ which was a result of a collaboration with visual artist Anna Polukord.
