Polish born Krzysztof Urbanski is a Multiple Award Winner Jazz Saxophonist and recommended by The Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz.
In 2010 Krzysztof moved to England and started to work with some of the most innovative musicians in the UK founding his new Quintet, Urban Jazz Society. For tonight's concert the band features Sam Gardner, Sam Vicary, Dave Preston and John Turville. Together they create a fresh sound in Jazz using and incorporating elements of modern styles like Hiphop, Urban and R&B.
In 2012 Krzysztof was selected from hundreds musicians from all over the world to the live audition at The Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz in Los Angeles California (USA). The judges such as Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Jimmy Heath and Kenny Burrell maintained that Krzysztof is ‘’one of the best in his generation’’.
During Krzysztof’s career, which spans over 17 years, He is well known for taking part in concerts, festivals and jazz competitions and we look forward to an electrifying evening at the Polish Jazz Café POSK!

W roku 2012 został wybrany z pośrὀd wielu saksofonistὀw z całego świata do przesłuchań w Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz w Los Angeles. Jury, w ktὀrego skład wchodzili miedzy innymi Herbie Hanckock i Wayne Shorter ogłosiło, że Krzysztof jest jednym z najlepszych saksofonistὀw na świecie swojej generacji.
