BENET MCLEAN ORGAN QUARTET
Benet McLean is one of the most exciting contemporary jazz violinists to emerge in recent years!
For this special show, Benet returns to Jazz Café POSK to perform with Binker Golding, Liam Dunachie and Zoe Pascal in an evening of funky organ grooves!
Benet has received widespread praise for his innovative approach on violin and has a style that blends influences ranging from bebop to M-BASE. Also, an outstanding pianist, Benet has released several critically acclaimed albums and has received praise from The Guardian, Jazzwise, MOJO and the BBC. His highly anticipated debut album on violin is released later this year.
Benet has played with artists including Julian Joseph, Steve Williamson, Soweto Kinch, Jean Toussaint, Cleveland Watkiss, Jason Yarde, Orphy Robinson, Troy Miller, Omar, and Nightmares on Wax. He has performed at numerous venues across the UK and further afield, including London performances at Royal Festival Hall, King’s Place, Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, The Jazz Cafe, Pizza Express Jazz Club and Shepherd’s Bush Empire.
