Marta Mathea Radwan Quintet present their debut concert at Jazz Café POSK, bringing an eclectic mix of jazz standards, original compositions, and Polish tunes in new arrangements.
Marta Mathea Radwan is a Polish conductor, vocalist, composer, arranger, music director, and workshop leader. London audiences know her as a leader of several music projects including Alle Choir London, Offbeat Choirs, Scandinavian Singing Club, or Jazz for Kids Show.
Marta Mathea Radwan Quintet is her latest project with stellar musicians: Anita Łazińska on piano, Jakub Cywiński on bass, Jakub Klimiuk on guitar and Eric Ford on drums.
They will present songs reflecting Marta’s musical journey. From arrangements of Chopin tunes, through jazz standards to her own compositions incorporating vocal improvisation and circle song technique.
Anita Łazińska is a versatile musician - vocalist, pianist, composer, graduate of the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz (Poland). Currently a leader of Anita Łazińska Quartet - a band in which she presents her ideas of compositions and arrangements.
Anita is also a member of H3O, Muze Voices and Wild Whispers - bands in which improvisation and searching for unusual sounds plays an important role. An active musician - she has been a part of projects such as All Souls’ Day Jazz Festival, Voicingers on Tour in London or WąbJazzno Festival (Poland) during which she had the honor and pleasure of performing alongside Igor Zakus, Usein Bekirov, Jonas Johansen, Bendik Hofseth or Benoit Sourisse.
She also had the pleasure of collaboration with great musicians of the Polish jazz scene like the Leszek Kułakowski Trio, Piotr Damasiewicz, and Maciej Sikała.
Jakub Klimiuk is a Polish jazz guitarist and composer based in London. Throughout the years, he has recorded and shared the stage with the likes of Jonas Kullhammar, Mark Lockheart, John Horler, Dave O’Higgins, Krystyna Stańko, engaging in both UK-based and international projects. In his work, Jakub focuses on experimenting with musical forms and implementing compositional techniques derived from contemporary classical music into jazz. Jakub is currently one of the curators of the „Whirlpool” concerts series at the Vortex Jazz Club.
Born in Poland, based in London, Jakub Cywiński is a double bass player and composer who currently explores his interest in collaborating with various contemporary composers and jazz musicians such as Ola Onabule, Marco Marconi, Partikel, Duncan Eagles Quartet among others… He studied double bass as a postgraduate at the Royal College of Music. His varied freelance career has taken him to India, Russia, Lebanon and other places around the world.
Eric Ford – a drummer in a huge demand - he is a founder member of the internationally acclaimed band 'Partikel' and has worked extensively on the UK and European jazz circuit for many years.

Marta Mathea Radwan to polska dyrygentka, wokalistka, kompozytorka, aranżerka, dyrektor muzyczna i prowadząca warsztaty. Londyńska publiczność zna ją jako liderkę kilku projektów muzycznych, m.in. Alle Choir London, Offbeat Choirs, Nordic Singing Club czy Jazz for Kids Show.
Marta Mathea Radwan Quintet to jej najnowszy projekt z udziałem znakomitych muzyków: Anity Łazińskiej na fortepianie, Jakuba Cywińskiego na basie, Jakuba Klimiuka na gitarze i Erica Forda na perkusji.
Zaprezentują utwory będące odzwierciedleniem muzycznej podróży Marty. Od aranżacji utworów Chopina, poprzez standardy jazzowe, aż po własne kompozycje wykorzystujące improwizację wokalną i technikę pieśni kręgu.
